For Clients, or potential Clients
Who can benefit from these services? These services are for therapists or others in the helping field who might sometimes feeling like an imposter, experience overwhelm or burnout, or feel stuck.
How can I help? With years of training and experience in the field, I also bring my own lived experience in working through these challenges. Together, we can find what fits you best.
What outcomes can you expect? Since everyone is unique, we'll work together to define your goals and what you hope to achieve. I'll offer feedback on your progress, and we'll regularly check in to adjust things as needed because goals can evolve over time.
Call me at 330-902-1021. I'll gather some basic information to get you registered in the EHR system and to be scheduled.
Within 48 hours, you'll log in to your client portal and fill out your information, including a few forms.
We'll meet at the scheduled day and time!
Counseling begins with an initial assessment and then is followed with regularly scheduled sessions.
Initial session (assessment): $180
Regular Session: $150 (50 min)
In addition to regular sessions, some people benefit from extended sessions. These are called intensives.
Intensive I: $225 (75-80 min)
Intensive 2: $450 (half day, 25-3hr)
Intensive 3: $900 (full day, 5-5.5hr)
At this time Valerie Murphy Counseling and Consulting LLC is private-pay, meaning you are responsible for payment at the time of service. Cash, check, credit/debit cards and HSA or FSA cards are accepted. While a credit/debit card is required to complete your file, you can choose another form of payment at the time of service.
If you prefer, you can save your card on file, and it will be automatically charged once your progress note in completed.
I understand that the cost of services can feel overwhelming. If that's the case, I invite you to consider your overall-health and well-being. Insurance companies often prioritize saving money, which can lead to limited session times or denial of services. I want to ensure we take the time needed to work together and guide you toward healing, so you can eventually move forward without needing ongoing therapy. That said, there's absolutely no problem with returning for a "check-up" if you feel it would be helpful in the future.
A superbill can be provided upon your request, which you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Here are a few questions to ask your insurance provider if you choose this route:
What percentage is reimbursed for each out-of-network psychotherapy session? (CPT billing code 90791 for an initial assessment, 90837 for 50-min session)
Is there a limit on the amount of sessions covered, and what is the time-frame for those sessions?
Is there a deductible before receiving reimbursement?
Is preauthorization or a referral required for reimbursement?
Please be mindful that documentation sent to your insurance company will become part of the your permanent record. Sometimes clients do not want a mental health diagnosis in their record for various reasons. If this is a concern, you may want to check with your insurance provider about using your HSA or FSA without sharing this information.
